A new date for the popular Shropshire Kids Festival has been announced for next year. The festival will be held indoor at Telford International Centre on February 20 and 21, and organisers are keen for children’s clubs and entertainers to get in touch to be a part of it. This year there was supposed to be two festivals, one in Easter over the weekend of April 10 and 11 in Telford, and another in the Quarry in Shrewsbury over the weekend of September 5 and 6, but coronavirus restrictions meant they were two of many events to fall by the wayside.
The festival has previously been staged at Telford International Centre in after being launched in Beth Heath, director of fun at Shropshire Festivals, said: “It’s going to be running in February half term and we’re really excited about it. It’ll be our next big event.
Popped out with the wife for an impromptu date night – food and service did not disappoint – went on a quieter week night, so apart from the 4 other tables, we were alone – had starters, main and one dessert – all were good, with good levels of service inbetween for drinks etc We’ve been here a few times. We’ve always had very good service. If you want a good beer or an excellent cocktail in Shrewsbury town centre then this is the place for you.
Jonny went the extra mile. You’ll recognise him by his impressive moustache! He took the time and trouble to inspire two children in the art of cooking, showing them around the restaurant and talking to them knowledgeably and enthusiastically about great food – thank you so very much, Jonny, you were brilliant. The menu is eclectic, covering cuisine from around the world. You will definitely not be disappointed by a visit to the House of the Rising Sun.
